It’s not what it looks like. It’s.. I was just. Um. Oh God f#@k it. You know exactly what this is. This Is What It Looks Like is written, directed and performed by Neenah Dekkers-Reihana and produced by Timeless Trash Productions.
Room a mess, in her bed, unshowered, sits Di. Alone. Save from her radio (Finn Johansson) and her phone (also Finn Johansson), neither of which she likes very much right now.
Meanwhile, following the disappearance of her Uncle, Eri is determined to find him. Fearless in the company of a flower she named Ahorangi, 9-yr old Eri sets off on a journey into the forest.
But let’s not beat around the bush. This is definitely, without a doubt, a show about depression. If that word puts you off, maybe you should come watch it. Don’t worry it’s funny and stuff. And Finn will be there…
Refreshingly honest and bittersweet, this is what it looks like.
“IT’S BOTH TIMELESS AND TOPICAL, THE THEMES ARE IMMENSELY RELATABLE TO A WIDE AUDIENCE, PLUS, IT’S JUST DAMN GOOD THEATRE.”
